GoatPaca started out as part of a much bigger idea — a tool that could track your product all the way from packing through to delivery, calculating costs and potential ROI along the way. The trouble was, getting reliable shipping data to plug into that system proved a bit too ambitious without direct access to freight APIs. But the part everyone loved was the 3D viewer — seeing exactly how things packed together, how much air they were really shipping, and how it all looked in a container or on a pallet. So that's what I kept, and that's what GoatPaca is now — simple, visual, and useful.
It's built to help you understand your packing setup at a glance. You enter your product's size, weight, and sales expectations, and GoatPaca works out how it fits into master cartons, how those stack onto pallets, and how they fill a container. It gives you a clear sense of what's product, what's packaging, and what's just empty space. It's not trying to optimize for every possible size combination or warehouse robot — just to show you what a practical, human packing solution looks like.
